Anyway, the hope is that as time passes my user base will grow, or at least all of my users will take an active part in the process that is the web server. Mostly, what I want from them is to make sure that they keep active in our little community. Now most of them do by means of the friday night gathering. But people like Kayman and NightDrako sometime just can't. So the hope is that they'll make good use of the e-mail, forum, and web page services and stay active. However, some people fail to so. Omega Bum has been absentee now for some time on fridays and the forums. Now I know he got his name for just those reasons, but it worries me when we don't hear from him for long periods.
With FFXI out, many of us do communicate (via the NQIG link shell,) and a lot of that just doesn't show up in a permanent record anywhere. So I guess that that really counts as well, but still. Many of us can't be on at the same time (Again, like Omega Bum and myself) so things like e-mail and the like really help bridge the differences in schedules.
Ah, who knows... Anyway, one of these days I'm so gonna get a T1, some coustemers and a T1 router with a set of channel modems so I can run an ISP and give low cost access to my friends. I tried to do that before with our second telephone line and my DSL for one guy, but the ol' man said no. Oh well.
